Today I have some swatches of CM Midnight Impostor, which I’m assuming is a dupe of Essie Starry Starry Night. Of course, I don’t have the Essie polish to compare (sad Lindsey), but let’s use our imaginations. Excuse the tip wear, I probably did dishes or something as equally exciting.
I was hoping this would be a lot bluer, similar to Nail Gear Scandal. When I’m chasing Starry Starry Night dupes, I’m really looking for Nail Gear Scandal. I love that long-discontinued polish! I love wearing dark, but bright blue polishes and the glitter just adds that extra oomph.
So CM Midnight Impostor isn’t exactly what I was looking for– the base is too dark, almost purple black instead of blue, and the glitter is weird, kind of rose gold coloured instead of blue or silver, but overall– not a bad polish! Would wear again. A++.
