Purplexed and Gold Konad-ified

I wanted to jazz up my Cover Girl Purplexed manicure from the other day with some Konad, but didn’t want to use my white or black Konad special polishes, and just wasn’t feeling my China Glaze OMG polishes for stamping. I did a little experimenting and was quite happy with the results!

This is Konad plate M63 and Soulstice Spa polish in Venice. I was really happy that Venice showed up so bright! It stamped perfectly! I haven’t tried any other Soulstice Spa polishes for stamping, but I’m assuming any of their shimmery polishes would work well. If you’ve tried some– let me know!

And speaking of Konad, don’t forget about my Konad contest, courtesy of Nail Polish Canada!

Cover Girl Purplexed– duochrome goodness

I picked up Cover Girl Purplexed on a blog sale a while back and never ended up using it– until now! I’m not sure how old this polish is, or if it’s still available, but I’m sure you can find it for sale somewhere on the Internet.

This is three coats of Purplexed. It’s sheer, but gorgeous. I can see just a hint of VNL, which I think a fourth coat would have taken care of, but it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t bother me that much. I’ll bet one or two coats over black or a dark purple would really make this colour pop even more!

Purplexed is a gorgeous purple colour that shifts to an olive green. You can sometimes see a hint of burgundy in there as it’s shifting, too. I usually like my duo/multichromes in the purple-to-teal spectrum, but I actually really dig this colour a lot more than I thought I would!

What do you think of Purplexed? Does Cover Girl have other duo/multichrome shades in this line (the 3-in-1 step nail color one)?
