February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 18

By Lindsey | February 24, 2012

With “drink,” I wanted to get all fancy and show off a colourful drink in a fun glass, but let’s be real here– I just drink Diet Pepsi all day. Aspartame makes me stronger!

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 17

I enjoy when the numbers on a clock are all the same– which is why I was happy when I passed the spare bedroom with my camera in hand and saw it was 3:32. Didn’t have to wait long at all. This clock is pretty spectacular, too. It’s a gift from a friend and it keeps the correct time. I just had to put in my timezone, and it already knows what time it is. What sorcery!

“Something new” is today’s theme, and the above key and bunny necklace is indeed new– I just purchased it off eBay with some certificates I had. It’s on a really long chain (we’re talking belly-button territory here), so I’ll probably have to get a new chain for it before I wear it. We’ll see.

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 14

How appropriate– “heart” for Valentine’s Day. I’ve always wanted a heart-shaped ring, and my husband (boyfriend at the time) bought one for me for a birthday… or maybe it was Valentine’s day? Christmas? Man, am I ever in trouble when he reads this.

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 13

I didn’t set out for it to be, but there’s a lot of blue in our spare bedroom, so I thought it would make for some good “blue” photos. Above is a couple vases in the room, and below is the bedding. It’s not the most attractive blue plaid bedding in the world, but that blanket is super cozy and warm!

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 12

By Lindsey | February 23, 2012

My house has three closets, and the main bedroom closet is the least embarrassing of the three. Here we have my husband’s clothes on top, mine on the bottom (I like wearing dark colours, if you couldn’t tell), some of my shoes on a rack to the right, and the bottom… well, that’s just a mess of shoes, both mine and my husband’s.

My office closet still has unpacked boxes from when we moved in almost two years ago. I also have some dresses hanging in there, along with some other crap that just gets piled into it. The boxes have been shifting a lot and I’m afraid I’ll have a giant mess in there pretty soon, but I’m not motivated enough to do anything about it. A house isn’t a home unless it has at least one extremely unorganized closet… right?

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 23

This is my regular everyday pair of ratty-looking shoes. Yes, they’re old and gross…

Here’s a bonus photo of my favourite pair of heels. I’m not very good at walking in heels and I’m not exactly a shoe person. I’ve had these for years (excuse the dirtyness, but like I said– I wear these) and I still get compliments every time I wear them.

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 9

By Lindsey | February 9, 2012

Today’s photo isn’t particularly interesting– just my front door on this sunny afternoon. I kind of wish I had an obscenely red front door or something striking to share with you, but that just isn’t the case.

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 8

By Lindsey | February 8, 2012

Here’s a nice shiny photo of the sun today. It was a bit cloudy, as you can see, and very difficult to photograph with my camera. I ended up having to focus in on the trees to get the photo to take. It’s been very nice out here lately, unseasonably warm with an absence of snow. I’m definitely okay with that!

February Photo a Day Challenge: Day 7

By Lindsey | February 7, 2012

Today’s theme is “button”. There’s so many buttons when you think about it– on clothes, on bags, on the channel changer, the microwave– everywhere. This is a photo of one of the button on my coat. I bought the coat for a friend’s wedding, which was steampunk/Victorian-era-themed. It’s a military-style coat that flares at the bottom and has these great silver buttons all over it. I’ve loved wearing this coat all winter so far, so I’m pretty glad I snapped it up on eBay when I did.

And now I’m all caught up, except for day 4, which was “stranger”. Not sure how to get a photo of one of those without looking like a total creeper. See you tomorrow!
