Recently I’ve taken up amateur photography. I’ve always enjoyed it, I’ve just never been good at it. Not that I’m super fabulous now, but I like capturing my subject and feel like it’s a great skill to add to my resume. Not only do I provide just about any writing service my clients need, I can now add original photos on top of that all.
On Boxing Day (Canada’s Black Friday), I scored an amazing deal on a Canon Rebel T3i camera. It’s very different from the cameras I’ve used previously. This is my first time with a DSLR. I find it a bit intimidating, but the more I play with it and learn about the different settings, the more amazed I am with this camera and with the skill set I seem to be building. Looking at photos from a year or even a few months ago, I definitely notice a difference in composition and quality. An online course in photography certainly helped, too!
What are some additional skills you’d like to add to your resume? I’d like to take some more photography classes. If you happen to be in Windsor, ON and know of some great resources, leave me a comment!
