Meetings will take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in 2135 CHN unless otherwise stated

Sept. 20 – Rosemary Nixon will be reading her short stories and discussing the short story form, Oak Room in Vanier Hall, 3 p.m.

Sept 25 – Vote on new secretary, sign up for editorial and publishing ‘zine teams, organize a call out for submissions (including posters). Brainstorm for CUES, put a call out for papers.

Oct 2 – Tariq Ali (British public intellectual, journalist, novelist) speaks at the Assumption University Chapel, 7:30 p.m.

Oct 3 – Dr. Stephen Pender (Dept. of English, HRG) and Dan Wells (bookseller), "The State of the Poetic Nation," Freed Orman Centre, 7:30 p.m.

Oct 8 – Deadline for ‘zine submissions.

Oct 9 – First Quills (bring something to read!). Distribute copies of ‘zine submissions to editorial group, discuss and choose contents.

Oct. 9 – Juice Open Mic Poetry at Phog (157 University Ave. W.), 9:30 p.m.

Oct 16 – Editorial board for ‘zine meets for final edits, pass along to publishing team.

Oct 23 – Publishing of ‘zine complete, send to printers. Second Quills and games night.

Oct 30 – ‘Zine launch: Location and time TBA.

Nov 2-4 – BookFest Windsor! Keep your eye on the official website for the schedule.

Nov 6 – Potluck dinner, finance report, work on CUES (funds, advertisements).

Nov 13 – Juice Open Mic Poetry at Phog (157 University Ave. W.), 9:30 p.m

Nov 20 – Third Quills. Game/movie night.

Nov 27 – Last meeting of the semester. Set up Winter 2008 calendar.

Jan 8 – First meeting of second semester. Potluck, discuss Winter 2008 ‘zine, CUES paper deadline (send to judges).

Jan 15 – First Quills. Discuss CUES: plan itinerary.

Jan 29 – Potluck and games night. Discuss Freedom to Read week.

Feb 6 – ‘Zine deadline.

Feb 7 – Copies of ‘zine submissions distributed to editorial board. Editorial board to meet and choose contents.

Feb 14 – Second Quills—Valentine’s Theme! Editorial board to finish editing, pass along to publishing team.

Feb 21 – Publishing team to meet, finish layout, etc. Out for food somewhere afterwards.

Feb 22 – ‘Zine submitted for printing.

Feb 28 – ‘Zine launch: Location and time TBA.

Mar 7 – CUES meeting—start tying up loose ends, secure food donations, gift bags for speakers.

Mar 14 – CUES meeting—any more last-minute tasks. Fall 2008 executive nominations.

Mar 21 – CUES meeting—ensure everything is covered. Third Quills.

Mar 25 – CUES conference.

Mar 28 – Fall 2008 executive elections, CUES wrap-up.

Apr 3 – Roger Chartier, "What Is a Book? Responses to Kant's Questions," Freed Orman Centre, 7:30 p.m.

Apr 4 – Last meeting of Winter 2008! Go out for drinks and relax before exams!
